If we are going to get America back in the leadership business again, we need our next commander in chief to be a proven negotiator – and nobody is a better negotiator that Carly Fiorina.

While most people have heard about the HP-Compaq merger Carly negotiated that grew HP into the $100 billion IT company and made it the largest producer of PCs in the world, that was only one of hundreds of deals Carly negotiated while running the technology giant.  For example, under Carly Fiorina’s leadership, HP finalized more than 200 managed services contracts in approximately 12 months with some of the world’s largest and most prestigious companies, including Proctor & Gamble and Ericsson.  A managed services contract is a service level agreement between two companies, where one company agrees to take on some of the responsibilities

“In business, it is crucial to be a strong negotiator – and these deals make it clear Carly Fiorina was one of the best negotiators in the business.”

FACT: Under Carly Fiorina’s leadership, HP finalized more than 200 managed services contracts in approximately 12 months.

FACT: One of those managed services contracts was a $3 billion, 10-year deal with Proctor & Gamble (P&G).  From that deal alone, “[a]pproximately 2,000 P&G employees from 48 countries will transition to HP Services, mostly from P&G’s Global Business Services unit.”

FACT: In addition, Carly and her team at HP negotiated a managed services contract with Ericsson. “HP ‘insourced’ their IT departments, taking over the day-to-day operations of their global IT infrastructure.  Under the deal with Ericsson, approximately 1,000 employees moved over to HP and HP took over IT operations in more than 100 countries.”

Current HP Employee Bruce Dunai: “In business, it is crucial to be a strong negotiator – and these deals make it clear Carly Fiorina was one of the best negotiators in the business…Those negotiating skills Carly honed in the boardroom will become invaluable to all Americans when she’s in the White House negotiating deals not only with Congress but also with foreign leaders. We live in a dangerous world right now and are facing enemies that have taken advantage of the weak position the current administration has put us in.  We need a strong negotiator like Carly Fiorina at the table so America can once again take its rightful place as a world leader.”

FACT: The Bank of Ireland selected HP Services as its “preferred supplier of information technology infrastructure services.”  This deal brought in approximately $600 million over seven years to HP.

FACT: Carly and her team at HP negotiated a five-year insourcing deal with Telecom Italia valued at approximately €225 million.
